Built to help you pick well, not to sell you anything.
AI Atlas is the editorial decision layer for AI tools. Independent, no affiliate links, refreshed monthly.
What this site is
A curated, opinionated atlas of the AI tools that actually move work forward — for everyone, from the curious to the team picking a stack on Monday.
Every entry exists because we use it, our network uses it, or it's measurably the best in its category. We say what's good. We also say what's overhyped.
How we pick tools
A tool earns a page when at least two of these are true: it ships meaningful new capability, it has a real user base, the team behind it is responsive, and a clear job is done better with it than without it.
We don't list everything. A directory of everything helps no one.
How battles are scored
Side-by-side comparisons rate contenders on five fixed axes: output quality, speed, price-to-value, ecosystem (integrations, API, community), and ease of use.
The winner shifts by use case — a verdict for writing is not a verdict for coding. We surface both the overall pick and the per-niche verdict so the answer fits your job.
How often we refresh
Tool pages are reviewed monthly. Battle verdicts are re-checked every time a major contender ships a new flagship model. Each page shows a "last verified" stamp so you know what you're reading isn't stale.
See something outdated? Every detail page has a one-click "suggest an edit" link.
No affiliate bias
We don't take affiliate commissions, sponsored placements, or "pay to be featured" deals. Vendors can't buy a higher score, a softer review, or a spot in a battle.
If that ever changes, this page will say so clearly and the change will be dated.
Who we are
AI Atlas is maintained by the Nu Insights editorial team — a small group of practitioners who ship with these tools every week. Our north star is the reader making a decision, not the vendor making a sale.
